St Pius X College, Chatswood is seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and innovative
Visual Arts Teacher for a full-time temporary position from 20 July until 1 September 2026.
The ideal candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner who has the ability to
inspire students to achieve personal excellence.
St Pius X College is a Catholic Independent Years 5 – 12 boys’ school in the Edmund Rice
Tradition and is dedicated to developing critical and creative thinkers who are resilient and
passionate about learning. For staff, the College provides a supportive environment with a

The successful applicant will:
- Demonstrate a clear understanding and commitment to the Mission of our Catholic
School
- Be supportive of the Edmund Rice ethos of the College
- Be characterised by a high standard of competency, professionalism, organisational
proficiency and enthusiasm
- Have an ability to relate to boys and a practical knowledge of boys’ education issues and
initiatives
- Participate in the Pastoral Program for the well-being of all students at the College
- Teach a range of classes as appropriate for the position (including Stage 3 Visual Arts)
- Be an innovative and engaging classroom practitioner
- Effectively integrate technology in teaching and learning
- Preferably have knowledge of programs such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Indesign and
animation digital programs
- Differentiate the curriculum to suit the student needs
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional learning
- Have the ability to maintain high standards for students, colleagues and the school
- Demonstrate a high level of organisational skills
