St Pius X College, Chatswood is seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and innovative

Visual Arts Teacher for a full-time temporary position from 20 July until 1 September 2026.

The ideal candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner who has the ability to

inspire students to achieve personal excellence.

St Pius X College is a Catholic Independent Years 5 – 12 boys’ school in the Edmund Rice

Tradition and is dedicated to developing critical and creative thinkers who are resilient and

The successful applicant will:

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding and commitment to the Mission of our Catholic

School

  • Be supportive of the Edmund Rice ethos of the College
  • Be characterised by a high standard of competency, professionalism, organisational

proficiency and enthusiasm

  • Have an ability to relate to boys and a practical knowledge of boys’ education issues and

initiatives

  • Participate in the Pastoral Program for the well-being of all students at the College
  • Teach a range of classes as appropriate for the position (including Stage 3 Visual Arts)
  • Be an innovative and engaging classroom practitioner
  • Effectively integrate technology in teaching and learning
  • Preferably have knowledge of programs such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Indesign and

animation digital programs

  • Differentiate the curriculum to suit the student needs
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional learning
  • Have the ability to maintain high standards for students, colleagues and the school
  • Demonstrate a high level of organisational skills
