About the Role

The Child and Family Health Nurse/ Midwife is an integral part of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team, providing nursing care to families/carers of the health service.

The role utilises evidence-based knowledge and skills to monitor the growth, development and health of the child (0 to 5 years of age) within the context of the family, and to provide a co-ordinated family centred approach, advice, health information, first line counselling (where appropriate) and referral to relevant support services.

About You

You will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse/Midwife
  • Experience working with children and families in a community setting
  • Strong assessment, communication and clinical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Understanding of child safety and ROSH responsibilities
  • Nurse Immuniser qualification, or willingness to obtain
