Ready to make a splash in your career? WaterNSW is seeking an experienced Commercial Excellence Manager (Full-Time, Permanent) to join our Corporate Business Services team.
In this role, you will play a critical leadership role within the Business Services function, shaping and elevating how the organisation accesses and experiences its support services. This role combines strong operational leadership with the delivery of high-impact improvement initiatives, driving transformation across the function. Leading the Commercial Support team, the Commercial Excellence Manager is accountable for the end-to-end procure-to-pay lifecycle, fleet systems and self-service capability, as well as continuous improvement across property and facilities processes. The role will be ideal for individuals who thrive on being a strategic enabler to reposition the Business Services function as a driver of organisational outcomes whilst fostering a culture of safety excellence.

What you’ll do
- Lead high-impact transformation: Drive business process improvements that enhance efficiency, performance, and overall service delivery.
- Inspire and develop a high-performing team: Lead the Commercial Support function, building capability, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Optimise end-to-end processes: Streamline procure-to-pay and financial operations through automation, smarter systems, and simplified workflows.
- Drive smarter, self-service solutions: Improve fleet, property, and facilities services by reducing manual work and introducing scalable, user-friendly systems.
- Deliver data-driven results and change: Use insights, technology, and strong change leadership to embed improvements, track performance, and deliver lasting business value.
What we are looking for
- Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in procure-to-pay processes, including purchasing, invoicing, supplier management, and financial compliance.
- Experience with ERP and procurement systems (e.g. Dynamics 365) and using technology to drive automation and process improvement.
- Proven leadership of high-volume transactional teams, with a focus on performance, capability building, and continuous improvement.
- Track record of delivering process improvements across procurement, finance, or business services, including automation and system enhancements.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead change initiatives across complex, multi-site organisations.
- Strong operational and commercial acumen, including experience managing competing priorities, ensuring compliance, and delivering results in fast-paced environments.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence.
