  • Hybrid contract opportunity within a secure Federal Government environment
  • Lead role bridging security, networking, and vendor integration

A Security Network Engineer is required to lead secure integration and migration of physical security systems.

Your new company

This Federal Government organisation plays a key role in delivering secure, resilient infrastructure that supports critical national operations. You'll be working in a fast-paced and highly secure ICT environment, contributing to major infrastructure and security uplift initiatives.

Your new role

As a Security Network Engineer (EL1 equivalent), you will lead the integration and migration of physical security systems into enterprise ICT environments. This is a highly collaborative role where you will act as the key link between Security Operations, network teams, and external vendors.

You will be responsible for ensuring that systems such as CCTV and access control are securely designed, aligned with enterprise network architecture, and integrated seamlessly with minimal disruption to operations. The role will also involve leading migration planning, coordinating cutovers, and ensuring a successful transition into BAU.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Strong experience in network engineering and security systems integration, ideally within complex enterprise or government environments
  • Proven experience integrating physical security systems (e.g. CCTV, access control) into ICT environments
  • Solid understanding of network architecture, including segmentation, resilience, and secure design principles
  • Demonstrated ability to manage migration activities, including planning, risk management, and cutover coordination
  • Experience engaging with cross-functional teams and vendors, acting as a technical bridge between stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of compliance, assurance, and operational handover processes
  • Current NV1 security clearance and Australian citizenship

What you'll get in return

You'll secure a 6-month Federal Government contract with an immediate start, working on impactful and high-visibility infrastructure projects. This role offers hybrid working arrangements and the opportunity to take ownership of critical security integrations while collaborating with experienced technical teams.
