Role Overview
This role is ideal for someone who is highly motivated, curious and genuinely passionate about land subdivision. As Assistant Development Manager, you will work closely with Development Managers and the General Manager - LANDXWISE to support daily project activities across planning, design, engineering and delivery.
You will be exposed to the entire development lifecycle, gaining hands-on experience that creates a strong foundation to grow into a Development Manager role.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist Development Managers with planning tasks, authority submissions, condition responses and permit management.
- Help manage consultant coordination across civil engineering, services, survey, traffic and environmental disciplines.
- Support version control, project documentation, milestone tracking and program updates.
- Authority, Council & Consultant Liaison
- Prepare agendas, minutes and follow-ups for authority and council meetings.
- Support the preparation and management of planning and secondary consent applications.
- Gather information and coordinate consultant inputs required for design or approvals.
Delivery Support
- Assist the team with tender preparation, construction readiness activities and tracking delivery milestones.
- Attend site visits with senior team members to learn about servicing, staging, engineering and civil construction processes.
- Support monitoring of compliance items, titles progress and release pathways
Financial, Commercial & Reporting Support
- Work with the Project Analyst to compile inputs for budgets, forecasts, cashflow updates and feasibility reviews.
- Assist with value engineering, variations tracking and commercial assessments.
- Prepare summary updates for internal PCGs and senior leadership.
- Marketing & Sales Collaboration
- Work with the CMO division and marketing team
- Provide key project information to SALESXWISE to support sales initiatives and channel partner engagement.
General Project Coordination
- Maintain project folders, approvals, correspondence and controlled documents.
- Assist with preparing consultant scopes of work (SoWs) and RFPs.
- Prepare concise summaries, briefing notes and project updates as required.
Skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Comfortable using Excel and willing to learn new software/tools quickly.
- Proactive, adaptable and able to handle multiple moving parts.
- A sponge — eager to learn, curious, motivated to grow.
- Passionate about land subdivision and long-term career progression.
- Takes initiative, asks questions and shows ownership of tasks.

- Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Qualification
- Tertiary qualifications are essential, ideally in: Civil Engineering, Property / Property Development, Urban Planning, Construction Management or a closely related field
- Professional experience is not essential, but internship or early exposure to development or engineering is an advantage.
