The Role

A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled and dedicated Legal Assistant to join our Commercial Disputes and Insolvency practice in Melbourne on a full-time basis. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide vital administrative support to the team and contribute to the success of the practice.

Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, phone calls, and emails;
  • Diary management and scheduling meetings including travel arrangements;
  • Preparing legal documents and correspondence;
  • File opening and closing, system and matter management;
  • Archiving;
  • Assisting with monthly billing and client reports; and
  • General administrative support to solicitors.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience working in a busy litigation practice. You will have proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and document management systems. You will have a professional demeanour, exceptional organisational skills, the ability to prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines, and strong attention to detail. Ideally, you will have experience working with Court registries in multiple State and Federal jurisdictions.
