The Trade Marketing Manager leads the in-retail marketing strategy for The Lottery Corporation's lotteries portfolio, ensuring our products-from Powerball and Saturday Lotto to Instant Scratch-Its and Set for Life-are positioned to maximise engagement, conversion and cross-play. You'll shape how these products come to life in The Lott outlets, creating a seamless, intuitive and compelling in-store experience through strong messaging, merchandising and point-of-sale execution.
With a focus on optimising the end-to-end retail customer journey, you'll use insights into customer behaviour to improve conversion and registration outcomes while identifying opportunities to drive participation across multiple games. Working closely with Retail, Technology and Marketing teams, you'll deliver initiatives across a large and diverse network-ideal for someone commercial, collaborative and passionate about enhancing and digitising the physical customer experience.
What you'll do
- Own how lottery products show up in-store across The Lott network
- Develop and deliver trade marketing strategies that drive in-store experience and conversion
- Optimise the retail path to purchase to be simple, engaging and effective
- Ensure the right products are featured at the right time to maximise sales (including jackpots and always-on activity)
- Drive cross-play between lottery games and Instant Scratch-Its
- Lead creation and rollout of physical and digital point-of-sale (POS) materials
- Partner with Retail teams to ensure seamless execution across the network
- Use customer insights to improve merchandising, layout and in-store communications
- Collaborate with Brand and Creative teams to align in-store execution with campaigns
- Identify opportunities to digitise and enhance the in-store experience
- Deliver scalable solutions across a large, varied retail network
- Monitor performance and optimise initiatives to improve sales, conversion and registration.
What you'll bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business or a related discipline
- Experience in trade marketing, retail marketing, or shopper marketing roles
- Experience working in FMCG, retail or franchise-based environments highly regarded
- Proven experience developing and executing in-store marketing or merchandising strategies
- Strong understanding of customer behaviour in physical retail environments
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders
- Experience balancing standardisation with flexibility across complex retail networks
- Demonstrated ability to drive performance outcomes in a commercial environment
