About The Role
The Retail Design & Experience Manager will plan, execute, and evaluate high-impact experiential activations and special events that elevate brand visibility, engage audiences, and drive commercial results.
Reporting to the Head of Retail Excellence and managing a Project Coordinator, the role will lead the Direct Store Go-To-Market (GTM) plan. This includes a strong focus on fixture design, seasonal campaigns, and in-store promotions. The role will collaborate with Dyson Group teams, external agencies, and local stakeholders to pioneer new ways of driving brand awareness and technology demonstration, always executing with excellence, strict budget management, and an ROI mindset.
Main responsibilities include but not limited to:-
- Lead the ideation, project management, and development of compelling retail fixtures and displays across ANZ to enhance in-store presence and customer experience.
- Oversee collaboration with external design agencies, internal stakeholders, and Group level to deliver solutions that are both on-brand and commercially effective.
- Work closely with the Direct team and store managers to ensure seamless execution, adherence to brand standards, and the implementation of direct store marketing (DSM) activities around NPD and Seasonal Moments to drive engagement in priority locations.
- Develop efficiency initiatives to ensure retail fixtures are future-proofed and cost-effective to maintain.
- Work closely with the Senior Communications Manager and Category leads to develop the ANZ Events Strategy across NPD, Retail, and Online, designed to strengthen conversion by showcasing Dyson technology in the most impactful way.
- Collaborate with global counterparts to ensure alignment with global planning principles, while actively contributing to the annual category planning process to support overall objectives.
- Project manage, produce, and execute key Dyson experiential activations and events, working with the Dyson Group event team, localized suppliers, and partners to ensure high-quality delivery within budget.
- Coordinate and manage a transparent calendar of events across all departments.
- Own and lead the BBI project stream, maintaining oversight on project objectives, timelines, and deliverables, while communicating key milestones to all stakeholders.
- Spearhead the conception and implementation of seasonal campaigns and in-store activations in collaboration with internal teams, ensuring alignment with wider brand and business objectives.
- Manage annual budgets, month-end P&L reconciliation, and project timelines to ensure financial accountability.
- Manage Return on Investment (ROI) and prepare comprehensive post-evaluation analysis for all activations, sharing learnings with stakeholders to continuously improve future planning.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have a high level of communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt to ever-changing business needs. You can work calmly under pressure, to tight deadlines and be highly organised with strong time management skills.
Previous Skills & Experience
- Degree level (or equivalent) ideally in business or related subject
- Retail or consumer product industry experience in project management and/or retail development, store design and development
- Interstate travel required
- Role specific experience – smart sheets, excel, Advanced Microsoft suite
- Experience and planning in the Events industry working with external agencies and multidisciplinary internal teams
- A proven ability to manage tasks
- Previous experience developing and managing third party suppliers and supply negotiation
- Budget control and reporting
