The Opportunity
This is more than a traditional Assistant Accountant role.
You’ll become a key member of our Finance Team, supporting the accuracy and integrity of financial operations across multiple entities and locations.
From payroll reconciliations and month-end reporting to intercompany accounting, audits and financial data management, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our business financially strong and operationally efficient.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing payroll-related accounting reconciliations and journals
- Preparing month-end journals, accruals and account reconciliations
- Supporting intercompany accounting, loan reconciliations and shared expense allocations
- Assisting with financial reporting, statutory compliance and audit preparation
- Maintaining data integrity across Xero and associated financial systems
- Collaborating with stakeholders across multiple departments and locations
- Supporting process improvement and continuous optimisation within finance operations
About You
You are a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys solving problems, working collaboratively and taking ownership of your work.
You’ll Bring
- Experience in an Assistant Accountant, Finance Officer or similar accounting role
- Experience using Xero or comparable accounting systems
- Strong reconciliation and month-end accounting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational capability
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- CPA / CA studies (completed or in progress) or equivalent experience highly regarded
- Experience with payroll accounting and multi-entity environments advantageous
- Experience with RxWorks or practice management systems desirable
