The Role

This role goes beyond traditional Level 1 support requiring a structured, analytical approach to troubleshooting, strong stakeholder engagement, and a focus on continuous improvement.

You will act as a key bridge between the Service Desk and IT Operations, supporting both end users and broader system performance, while also contributing to process improvement and service excellence.

In this role you will deliver success by:

  • Providing high-quality L1 support across Microsoft 365, endpoints, and applications
  • Managing service desk tickets in line with SLAs, priorities, and quality standards
  • Applying structured troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving techniques
  • Supporting identity and access management (Entra ID / Azure AD)
  • Assisting with Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Delivering clear, timely communication to stakeholders during incidents
  • Identifying recurring issues and contributing to preventative improvements
  • Supporting endpoint management (Intune) and user device configuration
  • Assisting with initial security triage (e.g. Defender alerts) and escalation
  • Maintaining high-quality documentation, knowledge articles, and procedures
  • Supporting minor system improvements and operational initiatives
  • Collaborating with the IT Operations Lead on service uplift activities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT support (L1/L2 environment)
  • Strong Microsoft 365 and Windows platform knowledge
  • Experience handling complex or escalated support issues
  • Exposure to Entra ID / Azure AD, Intune, and endpoint management
  • Familiarity with security tools such as Microsoft Defender
  • Ability to follow structured processes and document work effectively
  • Experience contributing to process improvements and knowledge sharing
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Current driver’s licence and ability to travel as required

You must have valid work rights in Australia

The role is based in Mulgrave, Victoria.
