Haileybury welcomes applications for the role of VCE English Teacher to join our Senior School Keysborough Campus. This is a Full-Time, Fixed-Term (1.0 FTE), commencing Monday, 20 July 2026 to 11 December 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator to inspire and support students in their learning journey within a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a VCE English Teacher you will:

  • Deliver curriculum using best-practice pedagogy, including the Haileybury Explicit Instruction model.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of contemporary teaching practices and relevant pedagogical frameworks.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff and the school community.
  • Use a range of assessment methods to support student success and measure achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching resources, assessments and learning opportunities.
  • Engage in best practice within and across campuses.
  • Integrate digital learning and the LMS into classroom practice.
  • Participate in relevant professional development.
  • Contribute to co-curricular activities including sport, the Arts and/or outdoor activities.
  • Maintain attendance records.
  • Administer assessments (formative and summative), provide feedback and write reports in line with school policy.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Undertake supervisory duties.
  • Participate in parent/teacher interviews as required.

  • Recognised teaching qualifications.
  • VIT registration or ability to obtain such registration and current Criminal Record Check.
