We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Geospatial Analyst to join us in our Geospatial Solutions team within Infrastructure Delivery in Perth, on a fixed term 12-month basis.
Reporting to the Team Lead Geospatial Services, you will play a key role to support, implement, and monitor our GIS and spatial data, governance standards, Lands Management Database, Esri Suite, X-Info Suite, and provide spatial data services to the Infrastructure Delivery division whilst ensuring that good data management processes are maintained. Responsible for the day-to-day GIS activities and assist in planning and delivery through a range of geospatial solutions and lands management services.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and FME with high proficiency in spatial data-systems assistance, mapping, reporting, data editing and analysis
- Undertake day-to-day administration of the ArcGIS Enterprise environment, including managing portal services, groups, collaborations, licensing, and user roles
- Promote and encourage compliance with GIS data and cartography procedures. Design, develop, and deploy intuitive web and mobile GIS applications (e.g., ArcGIS Experience Builder, Dashboards, Field Maps). Working knowhow of coding language (e.g., Python)
- Design, define requirements, and maintain GIS data layers in the system for all projects whilst maintaining documentation for each data layer, follow data management protocols for the transfer and receipt of data from external parties, ensure validated data is assigned to projects and promote user engagement across the business
- Support assigned projects effectively, collaborate with stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues, improve decision-making and ensure on-time and on-budget outcomes
Your background
- Tertiary qualification in GIS, Geospatial Information, Geomatics, Geography, Computer Science, Surveying Engineering, Earth Science, or similar
- Demonstrated knowledge and proven relevant experience in the use of GIS in an operational environment or in a Utilities industry such as Gas or Energy
- Demonstrated experience in the use and understanding of GIS applications and tools such as Esri’s ArcGIS Pro or ArcMap, ArcGIS Field Maps, or similar. Experience in the use of ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online in a hosted environment would be highly regarded
- Demonstrated stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across the organisation and externally by building and developing relationships based on trust, integrity, and credibility
- Sound analytical and communication skills with good attention to detail and accuracy
