About The Role

FTI Consulting’s Health and Human Services Practice is growing, and we are looking to appoint two Consultants / Senior Consultants to join our team. The final role level will be determined based on each successful candidate’s skills, experience and capability.

Based in Perth, you will work closely with senior team members on complex projects across Western Australia and nationally. Our work spans health, aged care, disability, social services and mental health, and includes strategy, policy, operating model design, transformation, workforce, service improvement and data-led review work.

What You’ll Do

As a key member of our team, you will support complex projects across the health and human services sector. You will work alongside experienced consultants and industry experts to help clients solve difficult problems, make evidence-based decisions and deliver practical change.

From day one, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful client work. This could include:

  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis, including document reviews, stakeholder consultation synthesis, data analysis and options assessment.
  • Preparing high-impact presentations, reports and briefing materials for clients and stakeholders.
  • Supporting strategy, policy, operating model, transformation, workforce and service improvement projects.
  • Working with clients to support project delivery, change management and implementation planning.
  • Supporting or leading workshops, consultations and stakeholder engagement sessions.
  • Helping ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and to a high standard.
  • Contributing to business development activities, including proposals, thought leadership and case studies.
  • Participating in personalised training and development opportunities to build your consulting, analytical and sector skills.

What You'll Need To Succeed

We are open to candidates at either

Consultant or Senior Consultant level.

As a Guide

  • Consultant level: approximately 1–3 years of relevant experience.
  • Senior Consultant level: approximately 3–5 years of relevant experience.

You may have worked in a consulting or professional services firm, ideally with clients in the health, aged care, disability, social services or mental health sectors. Alternatively, you may be looking to transition from an operational, policy, project, transformation or analytical role within the health or human services sector.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can think clearly, write well, work comfortably with ambiguity, and build trust quickly with clients and colleagues.

We Are Looking For Candidates With

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to apply structured thinking and problem-solving to complex issues.
  • The ability to produce concise, clear and impactful presentations and reports.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative information.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Project management skills and flexibility across changing deliverables and priorities.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work with team members and client personnel in demanding, deadline-driven situations.
  • Experience with data analytics and visualisation software such as Alteryx, Power BI or Tableau, which is favoured but not essential.
  • A strong work ethic, eagerness to learn and motivation to succeed.
  • Willingness to travel within Australia where practical and possible.

Compensation

Minimum Pay: $88,000

Maximum Pay: $121,000

Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role and is inclusive of Superannuation. Determination of actual salary is based on a combination of relevant factors such as market considerations, business needs, and an individual’s location, skills, level of experience and qualifications.
