We operate across digital platforms, newspapers, magazines and events. Our people are united by purpose and driven by impact, delivering trusted local journalism and storytelling that matters to the communities we serve.

About the Role

You’ll be working closely with our Local Sales team to increase our market share and revenue by turning lapsed or new local businesses into active customers for the Bendigo Advertiser and broader ACM network. This is a hands-on role that offers both independence and collaboration, where you will prospect for new customers via networking and cold calling, while managing and growing existing accounts through tailored print and digital marketing solutions.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven Sales Experience: 3–5 years of face-to-face sales experience with a demonstrable track record of hitting revenue targets and driving digital and print growth.
  • Relationship Building & Prospecting: Strong networking, cold calling, and negotiation skills to build immediate rapport and establish a robust pipeline of new business.
  • Strategic Thinker: A solution-based thinker with the ability to research client needs, conduct market analysis, and develop persuasive marketing proposals.
  • Tech Savvy: Intermediate literacy and computer skills, including experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and CRMs (Salesforce experience is highly regarded).
  • Drive & Autonomy: High self-motivation to achieve professional objectives with minimal supervision, backed by excellent time management, a current valid driver’s license, and a well-maintained vehicle.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

Because at ACM, your career should grow with your lifestyle — not against it. We offer:

  • 18 weeks paid parental leave (after 12 months of service)
  • Study support for work-related courses and qualifications
  • Exclusive employee benefits via Flare and Commbank, including novated lease and exclusive offers through workplace banking
