Assistant Night Manager to join our Front Office team.

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing hotel operations during the night shift, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and a safe and secure environment for our guests and Heartists.

Working hours are primarily

11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including weekends and public holidays as required.

Job Description

• Support and lead the Night Audit and Front Office operations during overnight shifts.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and handle guest enquiries, requests, and complaints professionally.
• Complete Night Audit procedures and ensure all daily financial reconciliations are completed accurately.
• Manage guest arrivals, departures, and room allocations.
• Ensure hotel security procedures and emergency response protocols are followed.
• Act as the senior hotel representative overnight and make operational decisions as required.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure smooth hotel operations.
• Assist with training and development of Front Office team members.
• Maintain high standards of presentation, professionalism, and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Previous Front Office supervisory or leadership experience within a hotel environment.
• Experience using Opera PMS (preferred).
• Strong understanding of Night Audit procedures.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and confidently manage overnight hotel operations.
• Strong attention to detail and financial accuracy.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Immaculate grooming and professional presentation.
