About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team, based in either Sydney, Brisbane or the Gold Coast. You'll be working alongside an experienced team of Fire Engineers on a wide range of projects across many industries. You'll have the opportunity to be involved from concept, through detailed design and construction monitoring of these projects. This role will also see you involved in:

• Undertaking performance and prescriptive based fire engineering design covering all aspects of fire safety which includes fire and smoke modelling, egress analysis, suppression, alarm and detection, external fire spread and fire safety management.
• Ensuring fire engineering designs are in keeping with (but not restricted by) relevant industry codes, standards and Holmes’s overarching philosophy of encouraging performance-based solutions, ensuring that clients expectations are not only met, but exceeded.
• Developing and maintain positive relationships with clients and local authorities on a range of projects.

About You

To be considered for this role, we’re looking for the following:

• Undergraduate degree in an Engineering Discipline
• Newly graduated or up to 3 years’ experience in a (fire) engineering role
• Postgraduate degree in fire engineering (or studying towards) recognised under Washington Accord desirable
• FDS, B-risk, Pathfinder or other fire computer modelling and egress modelling experience desirable
• Excellent communication skills and be creative and solutions focused.
