General Manager / BD Manager to lead its Sydney growth strategy.

The Opportunity This role will suit a commercially astute leader who can balance strategic growth with hands-on business development. You will be responsible for expanding market share across key infrastructure, civil, and development sectors while also providing operational oversight to ensure strong delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Driving business growth across Sydney through new and existing client relationships
• Identifying and securing opportunities in geotechnical, environmental, and testing services
• Leading strategic business planning, forecasting, and market positioning
• Building and mentoring high-performing technical and commercial teams
• Strengthening relationships with Tier 1 contractors, developers, and government clients
• Overseeing operational performance, service delivery, and commercial outcomes
• Contributing to the long-term growth strategy of the national business

About You

• Proven experience in a senior leadership, GM, or senior BD role within civil, geotechnical, environmental, or construction services
• Strong network across Sydney's infrastructure and construction market
• Demonstrated success in winning work and growing revenue streams
• Commercially strong with solid understanding of project delivery and contracts
• Natural leader with the ability to build culture, capability, and accountability
• Strategic mindset with a hands-on, proactive approach
