Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and eligible candidates for the Graduate Nurse/Midwife (Combined) Program in 2027.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
About the Role
The Northern Health
Graduate Nurse/Midwife (Combined) Program offers the unique opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career across the continuum of care. We recognise that support is the key to success as a graduate nurse/midwife and are committed to providing you with all the tools necessary to succeed.
This role is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care and outcomes in a manner consistent with the professional code of conduct, legal requirements and organisational policies and procedures, within a framework of continuous quality improvement and economic resource utilisation. The Graduate Nurse/Midwife will work within scope of practice guidelines.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Expected completion of your Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery degree and eligibility to register with AHPRA as a Division 1 Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife by commencement of employment.
- Current National Police and Working with Children History Check
- Well-developed communication skills, written and verbal.
