WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

As SEO Director, you will play a pivotal leadership role within a rapidly growing independent full-service agency, responsible for defining and executing the agency's organic search vision across a diverse portfolio of clients. This role combines strategic leadership, commercial ownership, and operational, ensuring SEO remains a key growth driver within the agency's integrated marketing offering. You will lead the development of sophisticated organic search strategies spanning Technical SEO, Content Strategy, On-Page Optimisation, Digital PR, and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), aligning search initiatives with broader media, creative, brand, and performance marketing objectives. As an SEO authority within the business, you will establish best-practice frameworks, evolve service offerings, and drive innovation in response to changing search behaviours, algorithm updates, and emerging AI-driven search technologies. Beyond strategic leadership, you will oversee the operational performance of the SEO function, including resource planning, team utilisation, forecasting, process optimisation, reporting standards, and commercial outcomes. MAs a trusted client partner, you will build and nurture senior stakeholder relationships, confidently presenting strategies, performance insights, and growth opportunities. You will identify opportunities to expand client partnerships, champion integrated search solutions, and position SEO as a critical component of long-term digital success. This opportunity is ideally suited to a commercially minded SEO leader with deep technical expertise, proven experience scaling and leading successful SEO functions within an agency environment, and a passion for developing talent, driving innovation, and delivering outstanding business outcomes .

WE NEED YOU TO HAVE..

• Solid SEO experience, with a significant portion gained within a digital or integrated agency environment
• Proven experience leading and scaling high-performing SEO teams
• Strong expertise across Technical SEO, On-Page Optimisation, Content Strategy, Digital PR, and Generative Engine Optimisation
• Demonstrated success developing and executing SEO strategies that drive measurable organic growth and commercial outcomes
• Deep understanding of Google's ranking systems, search quality guidelines, algorithm updates, and emerging AI-driven search trends
• Advanced knowledge of SEO tools including Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Looker Studio, and other industry-leading platforms
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
• Demonstrated ability to identify and secure upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing client accounts
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, with a passion for developing talent and building collaborative, high-performing teams
