Job description: Infra Architect

We are looking for a dynamic & seasoned individual who can grow and lead the Cloud and Infrastructure business. His/her responsibilities would include providing comprehensive Data Center (DC) Transformation and Migration solutions on Infrastructure Comprising Compute, Storage, Virtualization, Consolidation, DR, HCI technologies and Develop end to end architecture, transition/migration strategies in Cloud .He /she would need to work closely with sales leadership teams and other practices.

Role Description

• The person should be a senior IT professional, who can converse with customer on DC and Cloud offerings and solutions.
• End-to-end solution ownership for all deals from DC and Cloud technical stream.
• Create Differentiation through integrated offering.
• Help in capability development within the organization and help in developing competency framework around DC and Cloud Platform.
• Collaborate with practices across the organization to develop solutions as necessary for client-centric requirements
• Stay abreast with developments in the cloud environments and competitive positioning of the leading DC & cloud offerings
• Lead Solution Presentation, Proactive proposition to customers
• Liaise with vendors on important technical issues and identify resolutions.
• Act as an expert for application architecture and design for both cloud native and cloud migration scenarios
• Help delivery team to position end to end story of designated themes.
• Bring Global best practices and offerings to CIS

Skills & Experience

a) Prior Experience

• About 10-20 years of experience in working in the IT services industry, preferably in practice presales or similar roles
• Design end to end infrastructure from DC and Cloud perspective pertaining to technologies like Servers, Storage, Backup, HCI, Virtualization etc.
• Should have experience of handling span of 100+ FTEs in multiple customer engagements.
• Ability to handle delivery queries / challenges for all technical support opportunities in DC –Platforms Infrastructure domain
• Relationship management with partners, principles/OEM, and hence delivering continuous service and value to customers.
• This role primarily involves customer facing and customer interactions and ability to drive e2e transformation solution, workshop, & presentations
• Coordinate with organization’s BDM’s, internal service lines, Practices, Account Managers to formulate accurate and timely response.
• Front-end solution design in the areas of DC Transformation & Migration involving Storage systems – SAN & NAS, Servers Infrastructure, Virtualization, Consolidation, HA, DR, ILM, De-Duplication, Data Tiering, Backup, Archival, Private Cloud, Public Cloud and converged / hyper converged platforms.
• Experience in estimation and costing for Products, System Integration and Managed Services effort.
• Track market and competition and coming out with innovative ideas to be most relevant in the market place.
• Should have breadth of technology understanding with Delivery background.
• Candidate must have worked on implementation projects involving large setups of SAN/NAS/Compute Virtualization/ DC Consolidation/ HA/ DR and Cloud solutions (Public and Private)
• Expertise in infrastructure sizing, design and solution architecture and preparation of BOQ.
• Strong delivery exposure with HPE/ Dell-EMC/ Nutanix/ Cohesity/ Rubrik/Cisco/Oracle platform products used in Enterprise DataCenters. This includes doing Due-Diligence and end-to-end designing of the components.
• Design, architecture, sizing, product configuration and consulting experience for DC Platforms – Servers, Virtualization – VCE, Storage, UCS.
• Knowledge of infrastructure requirements for the standard applications like SAP, Oracle Apps, PeopleSoft etc.
• Working knowledge of Wintel, UNIX, and Linux (open source) Operating System.
• Extensive knowledge of high availability solutions.
• Good knowledge of high-availability and DR Solutions
• Experience in DC Infrastructure Migration and Transformation.
• Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent customer handling skills.
• Open to ~30% Travel.
• Strong team player and ability to work in cross-functional teams
