Northern Health is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sleep Psychologist to join our new Healthy Sleep Clinic and Allied Health Psychology Department. This is a rare and exciting permanent opportunity offering genuine scope for professional growth and meaningful impact in the lives of people with a range of sleep issuesincluding insomnia and circadian rhythm disorders.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role

This role will involve:

  • Psychological assessment and targeted but flexible interventions for individuals experiencing problems with sleep.
  • Individual and/or group-based therapy
  • Collaborating with sleep physicians and nursing staff
  • Contributing to integrated care planning and sleep health promotion strategies
  • Development of sleep psychology resources, including self-management education materials and tools for patients and staff.
  • Linkages with other Healthy Sleep Clinics

This is apermanentGrade3,part-time position (0.21EFT,16hours per fortnight), however suitably experienced Grade 2 Psychologists are also encouraged to apply.
