As part of this ongoing investment, Elders is seeking a Junior Business Intelligence Developer to support the development of scalable reporting solutions.
About The Role
The Junior Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining reporting products and data models that deliver accurate, timely and actionable insights across Finance and the wider business. You will help transform business requirements into reliable reporting and analytics solutions that support operational and strategic decision-making. This role offers the opportunity to work across modern BI technologies while contributing to automation, data governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Translate business requirements into scalable, fit-for-purpose data models that align with technical standards.
- Design and develop dimensions, measures and data models that support business decision-making.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and SSRS for business reporting.
- Support financial modelling and reporting processes within a BI environment.
- Identify opportunities to improve model performance, automate reporting and optimise queries.
- Contribute to data quality processes, reconciliations and validation rules within reporting models.
- Maintain documentation for dashboards, models and reporting processes.
- Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, business leaders and IT/Data Platform teams to deliver effective reporting outcomes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across reporting frameworks, data governance and analytics capability.
ABOUT YOU
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Demonstrate
- Experience with Power BI including visualisation, DAX and semantic modelling.
- Strong SQL Server and data modelling capabilities including dimensional and synaptic modelling.
- The ability to analyse complex datasets and translate insights into meaningful recommendations.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical reporting solutions.
- Understanding or an interest of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Exposure to ETL/data warehousing concepts and tools such as Azure Data Factory.
- Exposure or interest in AI, Azure ML, Python or R.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
