About The Role
As a Shift Coordinator, you’ll lead frontline teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality production outcomes. Reporting to the Manufacturing Coordinator, you’ll be the key escalation point on shift, ensuring operations run smoothly while fostering a strong team culture and continuous improvement mindset.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and support shift teams to meet production targets and KPIs
- Drive a strong safety-first culture, including incident reporting and investigations
- Ensure product quality and compliance standards are consistently met
- Coordinate workflows, resources, and materials to optimise efficiency
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members
- Monitor performance, address issues proactively, and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Deliver toolbox talks and promote team engagement initiatives
- Oversee shift reporting, documentation, and handovers
What You’ll Bring
- 3–5 years’ experience in a Team Leader / Supervisor role within manufacturing
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive performance in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and operational processes
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Experience coordinating production schedules and managing workflows
- Proficiency in MS Office and production/reporting systems
Desirable
- Certificate III in Frontline Leadership (or similar)
- Experience in grains, stockfeed, or agricultural manufacturing
