About The Role
Our Shared Services team are pivotal to our success. They work closely with our lawyers to help deliver an outstanding level of service to our clients. The People & Culture (P&C) team are a key part of our shared services function and partner with the business to support our people and drive a strong performance culture.
We have a fantastic new opportunity for a People & Culture Coordinator to join our P&C team. Reporting to the Head of Business Partnering, this rewarding role will involve supporting the P&C team in Melbourne to coordinate and deliver on key HR services.
This role will have a strong focus on administrative activities and will include the following responsibilities:
- Assisting with recruitment activities such as setting up roles on our recruitment platform, preparing contracts, organising employment checks including police and reference checks
- Coordinating all onboarding of new starters, data entry on the payroll system, and scheduling end of probation meetings
- Liaising with Learning & Development on training and induction schedules
- Managing the offboarding process including setting up exit interviews, sending out the online departure survey and ensuring departure checklists are completed
- Meeting new-starters and running weekly HR induction sessions
- Coordinating administrative elements of the Graduate and Summer Clerk program recruitment & induction activities
- Responding to a variety of inquiries related to P&C from internal and external stakeholders
- Processing invoices and other ad hoc HR activities as required
- Assisting with key HR projects and system implementations

About You
This role is an administrative/entry level position and best suited to candidates who are either studying or have recently completed studies in Human Resources or a similar discipline such as Business Administration. Alternatively you may be someone who enjoys administrative work and looking for a new opportunity in a professional services environment. Whilst HR qualifications are not essential you will have a strong interest in HR and in providing a high-level of service to both the People & Culture team and the wider firm. You will have strong communication skills and enjoy using technology (experience using Workday would be advantageous). You will also be a team player who is professional and proactive.
