Casual Receptionist / Clinical Assistant to join our clinic in Carindale.

About The Opportunity

In this dynamic dual-role position, you will provide both reception and clinical support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic and the delivery of high-quality radiology services to our patients.

Our Carindale clinic is a comprehensive site with a throughput of approximately 150 patients per day across CT, X-ray, OPG, BMD, Ultrasound, MRI, and Nuclear Medicine. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, this role is pivotal in supporting effective workflows, patient safety, and accurate administrative processing and billing.

As a Casual Receptionist / Clinical Assistant, you will provide support across the clinic as required, assisting with leave coverage and periods of increased demand. Flexibility, reliability, and a team-focused attitude will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional front desk reception and administrative support to patients, referrers, and staff
  • Manage patient appointments, bookings, and enquiries
  • Assist patients throughout their clinic journey with empathy and professionalism
  • Support clinical staff with patient preparation and workflow coordination
  • Assist with processing medical images, obtaining patient information, and general departmental support
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across clinic facilities and equipment
  • Ensure patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality are maintained at all times
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to support efficient clinic operations

About You

You are a compassionate, adaptable, and team-oriented individual who enjoys working in a dynamic healthcare environment and delivering exceptional customer service.

You Will Demonstrate

  • Previous experience in medical reception, healthcare administration, customer service, or medical imaging (highly regarded)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong patient focus
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • High level of computer literacy and confidence learning new systems
  • Positive, flexible, and supportive attitude
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Reliability and willingness to work a variety of shifts, often at short notice
