An exciting opportunity for a Storeperson to join our fun, collaborative, and hardworking

Defence Maintenance Contract team based at the Simpson Barracks (Yallambie). This is an opportunity to join Ventia in a role that provides a corridor for a great lifestyle outside of work!

What’s On Offer

• $32.72 per hour + Super
• Finish at 12 pm on Fridays!
• Full-time role working 38 hours per week Monday to Friday
• Work with unique Defence vehicle and assets
• Training & Upskilling provided

Reporting to the Site Leader, you will assist with the effective and efficient delivery and control of stores and equipment, with a focus on increasing productivity for the Site's maintenance function.

Responsibilities Include

• Unload goods and check them against order forms
• Catalogue or label items with storage details
• Place goods in bins and on racks, or stack bulky items on floors
• Complete orders by selecting goods from shelves and checking them off the appropriate lists
• Package and send out completed orders to customers
• Move heavy packages using forklift machinery
• Obtain details of the location and quantity of items in stock, using visual display units or computers
• Enter details of received delivery slips, requisitions and invoices into computers

About You

• Demonstrated experience stores accounting or commercial equivalent
• Exceptional customer service experience
• Must have a valid Forklift license
• Driver’s License essential
• Good communication, problem solving, writing and analysis skills
• Well-developed computer skills in Microsoft and Defence systems desirable
• You must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
