About the team

Our Corporate Advisory team, MA Moelis Australia, provides strategic and financial advice across mergers and acquisitions, strategic advisory, equity and debt capital markets, and capital structure advisory services.

As the exclusive Australian partner of NYSE-listed investment bank Moelis & Company, we are part of a global strategic alliance that enables us to collaborate on cross-border transactions, deepen our sector expertise, and deliver the full breadth of Moelis & Company’s capabilities to our clients.

Driven by a strong deal pipeline and an exciting growth trajectory, we are looking to expand our team with ambitious and talented individuals.

About the role

You will join our Corporate Advisory team for approximately 8-10 weeks where you will play an active role in the execution of a diverse set of transactions, working closely with senior team members.

We provide extensive on-the-job training, [offering exposure to live deals] and the opportunity to establish and grow your professional network with colleagues from across the business.

You will be mentored by some of the very best and brightest experienced professionals, gaining valuable industry insight and technical skills in a high-performing environment – equipping you with a strong foundation for a career in financial services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• assisting in the execution of deals
• financial modelling and valuation
• drafting marketing documents such as Management Presentations and Information Memorandums
• assisting in the preparation of marketing pitchbooks and related materials
• gathering public information
• producing and maintaining various databases

About you

• You are a university student in your penultimate year of study (we will also consider applications from final year students) with strong academic results
• Your studies have a finance / business / commerce /economics / law / engineering / science / mathematics focus
• You have excellent analytical and numerical skills
• You have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• You are a team player with a strong work ethic
• You are innovative, entrepreneurial and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• You have your own unique interests, perspectives and experience which adds diversity of thought and ideas to our team
