Your Opportunity

• Deliver high level professional clinical mental health services as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to optimise psycho-social outcomes for children and young people with severe and complex mental health problems and disorders, and their families and carers.
• Provide intensive, developmentally appropriate, community-centred, mental health interventions and ongoing assessment for adolescents who require higher intensity (level and mode of contact and range of interventions/services, including risk assessment, crisis management, and safety planning) treatment, rehabilitation, and support to recover from mental illness.

Qualifications and other requirements

• Nursing: Mandatory possession of a nursing qualification from a registered tertiary institution or completion of an approved hospital training program and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
• Psychologists: Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution as a Psychologist and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
• Occupational Therapists: Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution as an Occupational Therapist and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
• Social Workers: Mandatory possession of a recognised degree in Social Work, and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
• Eligibility is dependent on the candidate having completed a university level Social Work degree accredited by the AASW and that the candidate does not have any other outstanding professional competency or ethical issues or complaints known to the AASW which may preclude membership.
• Overseas qualified Social Work candidates require a “certification of eligibility” letter from the AASW to confirm their eligibility for membership. Overseas qualified applicants should include such evidence with their application to be considered for short-listing in the selection process.
• Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
• Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 is expected for this position.

Our offer: You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $173,368 p.a., comprising salary between $139,951 - $151,949 p.a. (Nurse Grade 7) or remuneration package value up to $157,360 p.a., comprising salary between $128,169 - $137,918 p.a. (HP4), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 7/HP4) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.)
