Primary objective

Provide a high level of visitor, administrative and accounts services to support the operations of the Alice Springs Desert

Park as a major tourism and conservation facility.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Provide first point of customer contact services to the park.

2. Provide a high-quality telephone and personal reception service for the park.

3. Undertake daily data entry, including Point of Sale, online bookings and membership database.

4. Administer and coordinate a range of administrative processes including daily reconciliation, procurement, accounts

receivable and payable.

5. Ensure financial accountability in respect to office administration within relevant legislation and guidelines.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Demonstrated ability to provide client and visitor focussed service delivery with the ability to increase sale opportunities.

2. Well-developed Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders.

3. Experience in a range of administrative processes including procurement, financial management, data entry and internal

administrative support.

4. Proven ability to provide high quality administrative, reception and visitor services duties.

5. Able to be adaptable and flexibility including the ability to manage pressure and change in an environment.

6. level of computer literacy and sound knowledge of administrative procedures in a business environment.

7. Proven ability to work independently and prioritise tasks to meet agreed objectives and deadlines.

8. Proven ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.

This position requires shift work over a seven-day roster.
