About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Welder / Fitter to join our Wetherill Park team on a permanent full-time basis (Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm).
This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in maintaining plant reliability through high-quality welding, fabrication, and mechanical maintenance.
Key responsibilities
- Perform welding, fabrication, and installation of plant and process equipment
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on pipework, pumps, valves and rotating equipment
- Support preventative and breakdown maintenance activities across site
- Ensure high-quality welds on stainless and mild steel pipework
- Maintain accurate records using MEX (maintenance system)
- Work safely within a chemical manufacturing environment
What You’ll Bring
- Trade qualification (Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter – Cert III/IV)
- Strong experience in manufacturing, chemical, or heavy industry environments
- Proven welding capability (TIG/MIG), particularly on pipework (stainless & mild steel)
- Ability to perform high-quality welds on process piping
- Mechanical aptitude (e.g. pumps, valves, gearboxes)
- Licences: Forklift, EWP and Confined Space (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong safety focus and team mindset
