Who we’re looking for?

  • Proven experience and demonstrated success in a Facilities Management or Assistant Facilities Management role within the property/building industry.
  • Trade qualification in a building related field (desirable not essential).
  • Tertiary qualifications (degree or diploma, desirable not essential).
  • Knowledge of operations, industry best practice, building codes and legislative requirements relating to facilities management.
  • Motivated, career-driven individual looking to develop and grow within Facilities Management.

The role

Based in our Perth Head Office, the Facilities Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial assets, ensuring properties are operated safely, efficiently and in line with client expectations. This is a hands-on role where you will split your time between the office and site, coordinating contractors, engaging with tenants and managing day-to-day operational tasks across multiple buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the primary contact for tenants for technical and maintenance advice, supporting the building tenants, your Property Manager and the client.
  • Day-to-day building management including operations & compliance matters.
  • Provide written recommendations to the clients and Property Manager for major maintenance items, or to improve efficiencies on maintenance and operational issues.
  • Regularly engage with tenants and other building stakeholders ensuring a high level of quality control of all contractors.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the entire building, including all common areas and plant rooms.
  • Develop, implement and maintain Risk Management procedures in accordance with National and State regulations and Client’s requirements.
  • Be aware of property budgets and work closely with the Property Manager to ensure appropriate levels of spending are achieved across the managed properties.
