A growing consulting organisation supporting Federal Government and Defence clients is looking to hire two Junior GRC Consultants to join their Canberra team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-3 years' experience who wants to build a long-term career in cyber security governance, risk and compliance.

You will work alongside an experienced senior consulting team who are focused on developing the next generation of consultants. Previous consulting experience is not required. The organisation is happy to invest heavily in mentoring, coaching, and developing your consulting and stakeholder engagement skills over time.

About The Role

You will support senior consultants across a range of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) activities within secure government environments.

The Role Will Provide Exposure To

• Cyber security governance and assurance
• Risk and compliance activities
• ISM and PSPF aligned documentation
• Security uplift programs
• Audit and assurance support
• Policy and process development
• Stakeholder engagement
• Consulting delivery within Federal Government and Defence environments

About You

We are looking for candidates with 1-3 years' experience in areas such as:

• Cyber security
• Governance, risk and compliance
• ICT support or infrastructure
• Audit or assurance
• Defence or secure environments

Federal Government experience would be beneficial, however it is not essential. Strong foundational GRC capability, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn are more important.

Ideal Candidates Will Have

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong written documentation capability
• Good attention to detail
• A willingness to learn and develop
• The ability to work within structured and secure environments
• An interest in developing consulting and client-facing skills
• A technical background is also beneficial

Security Clearance

Candidates must be Australian Citizens and currently hold an NV1 Security Clearance.
