Cadence Connect has been engaged to recruit a Management Accountant for a large and well-established agribusiness with extensive operations across Australia and Indonesia.

This is a unique opportunity to join a values-driven organisation operating at significant scale, with exposure to livestock accounting, operational finance, reporting, and process improvement initiatives across a diverse and evolving business.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will play a key part in supporting livestock and operational accounting activities across the business. You’ll work closely with finance, operational, and station teams to ensure accurate reporting, reconciliations, and financial integrity across livestock and agricultural operations.

This position offers a broad mix of management accounting, operational finance, and process improvement responsibilities within a collaborative and growing team environment.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

• Processing and maintaining livestock accounting records including transfers, sales, purchases, deaths, and reclassifications
• Assisting with livestock reconciliations, reporting, accruals, and valuation processes
• Supporting livestock sales administration, invoicing, and debtor management
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments
• Reconciling operational and financial data and investigating variances
• Assisting with annual financial reporting and audit requirements
• Supporting reporting and reconciliation activities across cropping and small stock operations
• Identifying process improvement opportunities and assisting with documentation of finance and operational processes
• Building strong relationships across finance, operational teams, and key stakeholders across the business

About You

You will ideally bring:

• Previous experience within management accounting, operational finance, inventory accounting, or agribusiness environments
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Exposure to inventory management, costing, or operational reporting
• Intermediate Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across operational and finance teams
• A proactive mindset with an interest in continuous improvement initiatives
• Degree qualifications in Business, Accounting, Agriculture, or a related discipline preferred
