We’re a close-knit team working across a wide range of projects, from early previs through to full VFX production and final delivery. You’ll be part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary group and have real exposure to the full pipeline from day one.

As Compositing Supervisor, you will be the creative and technical authority over our comp pipeline, leading artists across our Sydney and Adelaide teams while actively driving how artificial intelligence and machine learning reshape the way we deliver final frames.

This is not a role for someone who reviews shots from a distance. You will be in the thick of it – solving complex integration challenges, mentoring compositors, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible when traditional craft meets emerging AI-driven workflows.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Own the end-to-end compositing pipeline – setting and upholding the highest quality bar on every show, from first pass through to final delivery
• Lead and mentor compositing leads and artists, building a culture of craft, curiosity, and continuous improvement
• Drive the integration of AI and machine learning tools into comp workflows
• Collaborate with VFX Supervisors, CG Supervisors and Production to solve cross-departmental challenges and remove creative blockers
• Evaluate and champion emerging technologies and translate their potential into practical production gains
• R&D and prototype, test, and deploy ML models that enhance artist efficiency without sacrificing creative control or final image quality
• Troubleshoot composite, pipeline, and colour workflow issues at pace – making clear decisions under production pressure

WHO YOU ARE

• A proven Compositing Supervisor or senior compositor with feature film or high-end episodic credits
• Deep fluency across the compositing discipline – keying, rotoscoping, colour matching, integration, and look development – with strong cross-department understanding of lighting and CG output
• Genuinely excited about AI and ML in production: you have hands-on experience with tools like ComfyUI, Runway, or ML-assisted roto tools, or you have been actively experimenting with what is coming next
• A natural leader who brings clarity and calm to complex, fast-moving productions
• Comfortable working across studios and time zones, with experience in distributed team environments
• A strong communicator who can translate technical constraints for creative stakeholders and creative ambition for technical teams
