Cabinetmaker / Joiner

Full-time $75,000 – $85,000 + super

We are an Australian, family-owned company who have been designing and manufacturing furniture for education for the last 10 years.

We manufacture almost everything in-house in our state-of-the-art facility in Chipping Norton. The facility includes metal fabrication, cut & sew and upholstery, as well as CNC, edge banding and joinery.

We are constantly developing new, innovative furniture for schools and have greatly expanded our joinery services over the last 18 months.

Your responsibilities will include

- All kinds of cabinetry and joinery work in a factory setting and also occasional on-site work

- Showing other manufacturing team members how to complete simple joinery tasks

Your attributes

- Knowledge of all aspects of cabinetmaking, including veneer work, laminating, curved surfaces, working with solid timber etc

- Great attention to detail and pride in meeting high quality standards

- Excellent time management skills

- Willingness to share knowledge, assist and train other team members

- Problem-solving skills and ability to work with others to find the best way to manufacture new products

- Ability to receive and give feedback in an open-minded and professional manner

- Comfortable working in a team or alone, you are self-managing, with a strong work-ethic

- Wide knowledge of materials and hardware used in all types of furniture

- Flexible attitude, able to adapt to changing environments

- Friendly and professional manner when speaking with clients and working on site

- Clear and professional communication skills

- Punctual, reliable & well presented

Your experience and education

- Trade qualifications in Cabinetmaking, Joinery, Shopfitting or similar

- Minimum 5 years industry experience

- Bring your own full set of current, good quality carpentry tools

- Have your own transport and current driver licence

- Have a current forklift licence

- Must be able to obtain Working with Children Check clearances
