As a Commissions & Targets Manager, you will design, manage and govern the organisations sales commission framework and target setting process to ensure fairness, transparency and alignment to business objectives.
Reporting to the Head of Sales Operations, this individual‑contributor role partners with Finance and HR to drive motivation and accountability within the salesforce, and balances cost and compliance with clear, data-driven, and well communicated incentive structures.
The role follows Vocus’s hybrid working pattern (two days per week in the office) and may involve occasional travel for sales kick‑offs.
What You’ll Be Doing Day-to-day
- Lead the design and rollout of the sales commission schemes for all segments (including indirect)
- Ensure schemes are simple, transparent and aligned to company growth and retention priorities
- Manage governance around exceptions, adjustments and approvals in partnership with Finance and HR
- Develop and manage the annual and quarterly target setting process across all sales segments
- Work closely with Segment GTM, Finance and Sales to ensure targets are achievable yet stretch orientated
- Analyse the correlation between commission plans, sales behaviour and business outcomes and oversee accurate calculation and validation of sales commissions
- Run scenario modelling to assess impact of proposed plan changes on cost and motivation
- Create clear documentation, FAQs and communication for sales teams regarding targets and commission, ensuring governance of target changes, quota relief and in year adjustments.
What You’ll Bring To This Role
- Minimum 5 years in sales operations, incentive design or compensation management, ideally in B2B or sales environment
- Proven experience designing and managing commission and incentive frameworks across multiple sales teams
- Strong background in financial modelling across multiple sales teams
- Experience partnering with Finance, HR and Sales leadership to align incentives with strategic objectives
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Excel and/or commission automation tools (e.g. Perfomio)
- Track record of delivery accurate and timely commission job description cycles under tight deadline.
