Supplier Quality Assurance Associate Scientist (12‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract)

Job Overview

Manage supplier quality assurance for PepsiCo manufacturing locations across APAC (with a focus on ANZ Foods and Beverages) by approving new suppliers for Innovation, BCP, Productivity and PEP+ etc. initiatives, conducting reapprovals for compliance and driving Supplier Performance Management of existing suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct approval of new suppliers to support Innovation, BCP, Productivity, PEP+ and Strategic Supplier agenda – e.g. documentation and/or onsite audits as required.
  • Approve legacy suppliers from ANZ M&A (Obela).
  • Conduct reapproval of existing suppliers to ensure compliance to Global Standards.
  • Support supplier performance management when quality/food safety issues arise – trouble-shooting, root cause analysis, CAPA verification, etc.
  • Enhance SQA processes through participating in routine reviews of documentation and procedure, and implementing digital systems).

Qualifications

  • B. Sc (Food Science) or similar.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Quality or Food Safety position within the Food Industry.
  • Strong Quality & Food Safety technical knowledge, analytical, communication and project management skills.
  • Prefer experience with supplier quality assurance or quality management.
  • Auditing skills and experience. Prefer FSSC22000 Lead Auditor certified.
  • Problem-solving, reporting, presenting skills.
  • Strong IT skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, applications for supplier data management.
  • Self-motivated, independent, with attention to detail.
