About The Role

As an Administrative Assistant, this is your opportunity to provide high-quality clerical and administrative support that enhances the services of the Box Hill church and strengthens our mission within the community. You will support ministry activities, communications, events, and daily operations to ensure the church functions smoothly and effectively.

Reporting to the Church Leader (Corps Officer), this is a permanent full-time, onsite role located in Box Hill, VIC.

Conditions

Compensation is in accordance with the Clerks Award Level 4.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Manage general administration and clerical activities across the church.
  • Produce newsletters, flyers, promotional materials, and support multimedia and communication needs.
  • Maintain church databases, social media platforms, calendars, and reporting systems.
  • Provide reception and customer service support, responding to phone, face-to-face and online enquiries.
  • Coordinate meetings and events, including agendas, invitations, catering, and resource preparation.
  • Support finance tasks including invoice processing, coding, and reimbursement checks.

What You Will Bring

  • A Certificate IV in Business Administration or relevant experience in an administration role.
  • Demonstrated experience in administrative support within a community or NFP setting (desirable).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to provide welcoming, empathetic customer service.
  • Solid computer literacy in MS Office and experience with databases.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain excellent attention to detail.
  • A Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.
