The Role

Looking for a hands-on role where your skills truly matter? We’re on the lookout for a proactive and reliable Maintenance Officer to join our team on a Full-Time basis (Monday to Friday) at our residential aged care facility in Greystanes.

As our Maintenance Officer, you’ll take ownership of the facility’s upkeep, ensuring everything operates efficiently and safely. You’ll be the go-to person for identifying issues, coordinating repairs, and keeping our environment at the highest standard.

What are your key responsibilities?

  • Carrying out general maintenance and repairs (basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and building work)
  • Keeping our outdoor spaces looking their best with gardening and grounds maintenance — mowing, hedging, sweeping, hosing and general upkeep
  • Completing planned preventative maintenance in line with site schedules
  • Responding to reactive maintenance requests across your designated areas
  • Monitoring maintenance works to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Actively contributing to Work Health & Safety practices

Requirements

  • Current driver's license
  • Trade qualification
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to work under minimum supervisiona
  • Experience as a Maintenance Person in Retirement Living (preferred)
  • Previous experience in either building, fitter and turner, welder or plumber (desirable)
