What You Will Be Doing

As a Communications Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of two-way radio systems within a technical and hands-on environment. This role requires a strong background in fault finding and electronic repairs, with a focus on ensuring reliable communication systems. Your duties will include;

Installing and maintaining two-way radio systems

Fault finding and diagnostics on radio and technology systems

Performing maintenance and repairs on radio equipment

Carrying out board-level repairs and cable connections

Utilising RF digital testing equipment (training provided on specific models)

Ensuring all systems are operating efficiently and safely

Skills And Knowledge Required

Minimum 3 years experience repairing two-way radio units

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability

High level of proficiency in soldering

Ability to work in a hands-on, technical environment

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Willingness to undertake a practical skills assessment prior to employment

What You Will Need

Certificate III in Telecommunications or higher

Valid C Class Drivers Licence

Open Cablers Licence (preferred)

Working at Heights (preferred)

Boom Type EWP Licence 11m or more (preferred)
