Where you'll be working
SESLHD is one of the largest local health districts in Sydney, covering a geographical area of 468 square kilometres from Sydney’s central business district, the beaches from Bondi to Cronulla and down to the Royal National Park. We deliver health care to around 930,000 residents across the local government areas of Woollahra, Waverley, Randwick, Bayside, Georges River and the Sutherland Shire. We also provide a key role in helping residents of Lord Howe Island. Our staff also deliver high quality health care across a variety of community-based services ranging from pre-birth to palliative care.
The Role
The Nursing and Midwifery – Our Strategy for Transforming Person Centred Cultures 2024-2029 guides our profession in the development of effective person-centred practice and healthful cultures within SESLHD. We advocate for shared decision-making, collaborative relationships, compassionate and person-centred leadership, and supporting innovative practices.
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant/Clinical Midwife Consultant, Research and working alongside the Nurse/Midwife Manager, Research you will facilitate and support research knowledge generation, utilisation, and dissemination within SESLHD. You will play a pivotal role to imbedding research through into clinical service and consultancy, clinical leadership, education and clinical services planning and management.
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant/Clinical Midwife Consultant, Research you will utilise your extensive experience and/or qualifications to provide expert consultancy, support, and education across the research process to enhance clinician nursing and midwifery-led research activity, capacity, capability, and impact within the LHD.
