About the role

The Travel Booking Officer plays a crucial role within the Corporate Services team at Central Australian Aboriginal Congress (Congress). This position is responsible for managing the travel and accommodation arrangements of Congress staff and new employees. The incumbent will work closely with various departments to ensure that travel logistics are efficiently coordinated, cost effective and aligned with the Travel Booking and Accommodation policies.

You will need

  • Personal values in line with Congress values.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in managing travel itineraries, expenses etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with travel agencies, internal stakeholders and new employees during the travel booking process.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritise responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the unique needs of the Aboriginal community, aligning with the values and mission of CAAC.
  • Proven ability to identify challenges in travel coordination and implement practical solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • A customer-focused mindset, ensuring that travel arrangements and onboarding experiences contribute positively to employee satisfaction and engagement.
  • Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations if required.
