Senior Commercial Analyst

Salary Range: LGO7 ( $108,671 - $115,332 per annum + superannuation) based on skills, qualifications and experience

Location: Townsville

About The Role

We are seeking a commercially focused professional to provide high-quality financial analysis and support across the organisation. You will partner with business units to develop business cases, financial models, and performance reports, delivering insights that support informed decision-making and improve operational and project outcomes.

In this role, you will also contribute to commercial frameworks and pricing models, support tender and funding processes, and help drive innovative, community-focused service delivery while maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge and best practices.

About You

• Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or economics
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role (local government, utilities, infrastructure, or resources preferred)
• Strong financial modelling skills and understanding of accounting principles
• Ability to develop business insights and understand complex operations
• Able to work independently and collaboratively, with strong time management and adaptability
• Current Class C driver’s licence
