To provide high quality comprehensive speech pathology services to the patients, clients and carers of the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District, in order to promote optimal health outcomes for Aboriginal people.
This position is part of the Building Strong Foundations for Aboriginal Maternal Infant and Child Health (AMICH) service based in Nowra. The Level 3 Senior Clinician is required to coordinate and promote greater access to speech pathology services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children within the Shoalhaven region.
This clinician will have extensive experience in paediatric speech pathology and demonstrated experience in the provision of services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers. This position requires high levels of clinical expertise and knowledge in paediatric speech and language development and disorders.
This position is responsible for the provision of a high quality, culturally responsive service to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families. The position requires demonstrated advanced reasoning skills and the ability to operate autonomously with minimal direct clinical supervision.
