Finance Officer

About the role:

  • Support financial operations by processing accruals, journals, file transfers, and maintaining data integrity within the Finance and Materials Management System.
  • Assist with Annual Financial Statements, compliance activities, and adherence to relevant legislation, policies, and accounting guidelines.
  • Collaborate with finance teams, Corporate Office, and Health Service stakeholders to deliver consistent and effective financial services.
  • Provide strong customer service by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
  • Manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and contribute to continuous improvement of procedures, manuals, and business practices.

About you:

  • Brings strong knowledge of computerised financial management systems, databases, and spreadsheet applications to support efficient financial operations.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of financial legislation, policies, procedures, and government accounting standards.
  • Have the ability to effectively prioritise workloads, manage tasks, and maintain a high level of data integrity and accuracy.
  • Contribute positively as a collaborative team member focused on achieving unit goals and delivering strong outcomes.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Total remuneration value of up to $117,603 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $47.19 - $51.98 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
