Bligh Tanner has an opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer with 5 -15 years’ experience in the industry. You will need the appropriate qualifications with evidence of your experience in the design of a variety of projects using different materials. This is a full-time, permanent position. Bligh Tanner is a specialist structural, facade, civil, environmental and water engineering consultancy. Over the past 30 years, the firm has been responsible for some of Australia's most innovative and complex engineering projects.

The Opportunity

Our team has a strong pipeline of a wide and varied range of quality projects, and we are looking to grow to respond to this committed workload. Based in Brisbane, you will join a group of high performing structural professionals with responsibilities for the role, including the design and delivery of all aspects of our structural projects. You will be given the opportunity to run projects and liaise directly with clients. At Bligh Tanner, you will get hands-on support from the directors and your peers, including other senior and principal engineers. This is a unique opportunity to grow with an expanding practice. This role would suit a person who is passionate about structural engineering and design.

What We’d Like

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the structural engineering design of a broad range of structures including Commercial, Health, Education, Institutional, Community and Sporting Facilities.
  • Experience in design using materials such as steel, reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, masonry and timber.
  • Demonstrated expertise in relevant analysis software programs such as Spacegass, RAM Concept, Strand 7, RAPT, ETABS and Inducta software would be considered favourably.
  • RPEQ and CPEng qualifications would also be viewed positively.
