Job Description
- Manage commercial agreements and research contracts, in particular confidentiality, material transfer, data transfer, consulting agreements and research services contracts
- Develop core negotiation objectives and achieve these through negotiation with clients and stakeholders
- Prepare and complete contracts, interfacing with all internal stakeholders in the process
- Ensure contact close-out, extension or renewal
- Track option terms and initiate internal decision processes where applicable.
- Ensure preparation and/or receipt of compliant contractual reports on development activity or cost/income, respectively.
- Track preparation and settlement of compliant invoices between contracting parties in collaboration with Finance.
- Maintain contractual records and documentation for all projects, including administrative tasks such as data entry and records management.
- Ensure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility awareness and interpretation to support implementation
- Provide reports and advice on contract performance, administration and issues to contribute to decision making, including tracking key performance indicators for contract portfolio
- Prepare and complete contract templates
- Manage and resolve external disputes in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Participate as a key team member, contributing to day-to-day goals through effective communication and collaboration
The Successful Applicant
The Successful Candidate Should Have
- Demonstrated contract management experience, particularly tracking progress and guiding others to achieve outcomes within deadlines.
- Experience with Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs), Confidentiality Disclosure Agreement (CDAs), Data Transfer Agreement (DTAs) and research contracts
- Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly emotional intelligence, to achieve effective collaborative relationships with partners, management and research staff.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Effective decision making particularly to understand or recognise issues and opportunities,
- Relevant qualifications (science, applied science, health-related, law or commerce)
