About the role
We currently have a position available for an administration professional who has experience and understanding of the transport industry to join our small but busy team based out of Garbutt, Townsville.
Working closely with the branch manager, the role offers autonomy and the opportunity to become a valued member of the team, while choosing the part time hours that work in with your lifestyle.
Provide support to the daily operations within the branch, with access to all tasks from payroll to customer service and everything in between.
Liaise with drivers and customers, complete allocation and co-ordination of daily runs, and complete the administration that comes with a busy dangerous goods transport depot.
Responsibilities
- Weekly data entry for payroll
- Processing of driver timesheets
- Daily upload of bookings and driver timesheets
- Invoicing through inhouse Purchase order system
- Customer service and driver communication
- Monitoring of drivers’ fatigue management and maintenance requests
- General office tasks as required
Success Profile
- Experience in transport, logistics or fleet administration- highly desirable
- Understanding or experience in co-ordinating driver schedules, deliveries and movements
- Problem solving skills and ability to work through issues such as breakdowns or delivery errors and provide high quality customer service under pressure.
- Knowledge of transport compliance, fatigue management and chain of responsibility- highly regarded
- Experience processing invoices and an eye for detail
- Understanding or experience in timesheets, payroll or bookkeeping
- Strong computer skills and confident using computer systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to deliver great customer service
- A strong commitment to safety regulations, ensuring safety standards are adhered to.
