Who we ‘re looking for?

  • Tertiary qualifications in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction, Building Services or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
  • Backgrounds in trade, architecture, engineering, construction or project management are highly regarded, with strong transferable skills valued.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the facilities or operational management of commercial assets (direct Facilities Management experience is desirable).
  • Strong understanding of Facilities Management operations, building services, compliance and contractor management.
  • Solid financial capability, including budgeting, cost control and operational forecasting.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build credibility quickly with tenants, clients and service providers.

The Role

Knight Frank is seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to oversee a mixed portfolio of commercial assets across Adelaide’s CBD and surrounding areas. This is a hands‑on, senior role requiring strong onsite presence across multiple buildings, working closely with internal teams, contractors and consultants to ensure assets operate safely, compliantly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day‑to‑day facilities operations of a mixed commercial portfolio across multiple sites.
  • Act as the primary technical and maintenance lead, providing advice across building services, compliance and operational risk.
  • Deliver high‑quality outcomes across health & safety, compliance, risk management and contractor governance frameworks.
  • Prepare, manage and monitor operational budgets, forecasts and expenditure, supporting value‑driven decision making.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and maintain robust oversight of contractor performance and service delivery quality.
  • Build trusted relationships with tenants, clients and internal stakeholders, supporting retention and service excellence.
  • Work collaboratively with Property Managers to ensure alignment on reporting, budgeting, and asset priorities.
