Associate Principal Botanist

Adaptive Resourcing

Do what you are good at and be the best that you can be.

Sounds corny perhaps but this role represents an opportunity to join a multidisciplinary environmental consultancy that is just the right size. Great people doing quality work without the complications associated with large companies.

You will lead an energetic team of botanists through the consulting cycle from proposal to fieldwork and report writing. Your role will include training and mentorship, scheduling, budget tracking, and getting into the field (but maybe less than you are used to). The amount and location of fieldwork can be flexible to your needs.

You love what you do. You are

  • An experienced and technically strong field botanist with 7+ years’ experience that is looking to put your arms around a team
  • A positive person by nature with a passion for your profession
  • Probably looking to spend more time in the city and less in the field
  • An excellent writer, adept at proposal and report writing
  • Developing good commercial and management skills
  • A dog lover (not essential but we often bring our dogs into the office)
  • Engaging with clients but not a business development person
  • Keen to input into planning and delivery of business strategy, culture and growth

The Opportunity

This role ticks all the boxes:

  • High quality engagements across a variety of industries
  • Great people in a caring, positive workplace.
  • Convenient West Perth location with the option for hybrid work.
  • Competitive remuneration
  • A team ripe for development and leadership

Do you want to be in an environment where the owners of the business work alongside you, care about your career, listen, and support you? Where your success, professional progression, enjoyment of work and an amazing workplace culture are the company’s top strategic objectives?

Do you want to lead a team, with the freedom to shape that team’s work program, geographic spread, size and technical standards? Where your professionalism and technical discipline is respected, supported and is integral to client communication?

If so, then your search is over. We encourage you to apply online or please call Graham Nutt of Adaptive Resourcing on 0405 355 905 for a confidential conversation if you are curious.
